In season and at its very best from June to August, our Grey Mullet is caught by Paul Wehnam, the skipper of the 19ft Poole Canoe the Ellie Jean. Paul spends most of his time fishing around Poole Harbour and he uses ring nets to land sustainable numbers of fish.

The king of flatfish. Says it all really. Great flavour and firm, white flesh that holds lots of moisture when it’s cooked. Farmed Turbot now means more of us can enjoy this special fish without the expense that wild caught Turbot can come with.
