James Jack

Fishing from first light, our skipper James Jack (also known as ‘Jimmy’ to his friends) has been fishing for most of his life. He started when he was just 15 and, although he later became a fish merchant, he couldn’t wait to go back to fishing, and upon his retirement when he turned 50, Jimmy bought his first small boat. His fishing was so successful that he later bought his current boat, the Janali, which he sails every night throughout the summer Mackerel season. With his wealth of experience and knowledge, Jimmy always returns to Fraserburgh harbour with one of the freshest line-caught Mackerel available from the local fleet.
